First Choice Health and Protection is an appointed representative of Movo Health & Life Ltd are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, authorisation number 515938. Registered Office: 30 High Street, Chislehurst, BR7 5AS Registered in England No: 07176446.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Please be aware that the FCA does not regulate some investment mortgage contracts including some Business, Buy to Let and Commercial Mortgages
- OUR SERVICES
We will inform you, during our initial discussions, of the scope of our services, how we will carry out the services we will provide to you and how we are remunerated. These details are contained within our disclosure document, a copy of which will be provided to you in writing.
Protection Products
We offer products for protection and personal insurance, including life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover from a range of insurers that are representative of the whole of the market. A list of these insurers is available on request.
We will make a recommendation for you following an assessment of your needs and objectives.
General Insurance Products
For general insurance products such as buildings and contents insurance cover, we do not give advice, however, we may ask some questions to narrow down the selection of products on which we will provide details. You will need to make your own choice about how to proceed. We have access to and select from, a limited range of insurers, details of which are available on request.
- YOUR DUTY TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION
It is your responsibility to take reasonable care that the information you provide when you take out an insurance policy, throughout the life of the policy, and when you renew your policy is complete and accurate.
It is important that you ensure all statements you make on proposal forms, claim forms and other documents such as a statement of fact are full and accurate. Please note that if you fail to disclose any material information to your insurers, this could invalidate your cover and could mean that part or all of a claim may not be paid. You should take particular care to check the accuracy of all information you have provided and if there are any inaccuracies you should inform us or the insurer immediately.
- VERIFICATION
We are required by UK law to verify your identity and your current address. To complete this we will request sight of appropriate documents held in your name and check that the information you provide is current and accurate. We are also required to retain a copy of these documents.
We cannot continue to provide our services until we have verified both your identity and address.
- FEES AND CHARGES
We offer a free initial consultation in relation to your protection and insurance needs and will discuss your requirements during that initial meeting.
Generally, we do not charge a customer a fee for arranging your protection cover or insurance. However, in the event that the application is considered complex we reserve the right to charge a fee. If a fee is to be charged the amount will be agreed upon at outset prior to the provision of advice and application.
You should be aware of the possibility that other costs or taxes relating to the services we provide for you, may exist even though they are not paid through us or imposed by us.

We normally receive a commission from the insurance provider for arranging your policy with them. Details of the commission we receive are available on request.

- CLIENT MONEY
We do not hold customer’s money.
- COMMUNICATION
In all matters, we will communicate with you in English.
Telephone calls made to and from First Choice Health and Protection are recorded and used for training and regulatory purposes.
At our discretion and unless we hear from you to the contrary, we may email or telephone you from time to time during Business Hours to service your protection or insurance application without your further prior consent.
All documents will be sent to you by email unless you specifically request an alternative method used. If you do request that documents are posted to you this will be to your last known address and shall be sent at your own risk. We will not be responsible for lost documents or any consequences that may arise from an error or failure of the postal system. For documents of value, a secure provider will be used otherwise first-class mail will be used.

- REVIEW
Any products that we arrange for you, will not necessarily be kept under review.
- YOUR POLICIES AND LEGAL DOCUMENTS
We do not own the products you buy or transact through us and all such products are registered in your name(s). All documents confirming this ownership will be forwarded to you as soon as it is practicable after we receive them. In some cases, the product provider will send the documentation directly to you.
- DATA PROTECTION
Information provided by you may be held, processed, disclosed, and used by us, our professional advisers and any associated companies servicing our relationship with you. We will hold the personal information provided by you securely and in confidence in our computerised and manual records.
By submitting your personal information to us you agree that:
- any information we hold about you can be held on computer and/or paper files;
- any information which you give us may be disclosed to selected third parties or group companies for the purpose of administration as permitted by law.
Please note that we will not arrange to involve a third party unless the security and confidentiality of your personal information is assured.

- FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPENSATION SCHEME (FSCS)
First Choice Health and Protection are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations in full. This depends on the type of business and circumstances of the claim and details are outlined in the disclosure document provided to you.
Some of the services provided by First Choice Health and Protection may not be regulated by the FCA. For unregulated products such as most Business, Commercial or Buy to Let mortgages the cover afforded by the FCA and FSCS may not be applicable.

- INSTRUCTIONS AND SERVICE AND PRODUCT CANCELLATION
We seek your verbal consent and accept this as your instruction to act on your behalf. We shall, however, be entitled, at our discretion, to refuse your instructions to act.
Our authority to act on your behalf can be terminated at any time by either side in writing without prior notice and without penalty. This will be effective from the date the notification is received. However, if transactions already initiated remain outstanding, the notification may only be affected once these have completed where you have a right to cancel the product or policy that has been arranged with you, the provider will outline your rights within their policy terms.
- CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
If we, one of our clients or providers become aware of any potential conflict of interest with regard to business we are transacting for you we will write to you and obtain your consent before we carry out your instructions and we will inform you of how we intend to ensure that you are treated fairly.

The content on our website is provided for information only and is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. We will regularly review the information on our website and will do our best to ensure that it is up to date.
We cannot guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be interrupted. We do however have contingency plans in place and will try and keep downtime to a minimum.
